This is what Chandigarh’s daughter did today: 25th March 2014

The Aam Aadmi Party’s candidate for the Lok Sabha elections from Chandigarh Gulkirat Kaur Panag started her day with a yatra in Sector 56 followed by a yatra through the markets of sectors 29, 30, 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24.

Gul aggressively called upon voters to question Mr Pawan Kumar Bansal’s track record in the city where she said “while Mr Bansal has widely publicized the improvements he brought to the PGI, we must be cautious of such claims and remain cognizant of how the PGI – one of the country’s premiere institutions is suffering in development terms on multiple counts.” Gul added that “the lack of primary and secondary healthcare services has overburdened the PGI with cases and has further compounded the misery of the common man.” Gul lashed out at both the main opposition parties forthrightly asking as to what they had done to improve the healthcare facilities in the city when they both had been in power either in the MC or when their candidates were elected MPs.

Over lunch Gulkirat Kaur Panag held a community interaction with the women volunteers of the Aam Aadmi Party over lunch, where they were joined by Veteran Congress leader Mrs Chand. Mrs Chand who has been one of the Congress Party’s leaders at the forefront of womens issues in Chandigarh pledged her support to the Aam Aadmi Party and its candidate Gulkirat Kaur Panag. Mrs Chand added that there were hundreds of disgruntled women supporters of the Congress party who would be keen to join Gul and her campaign for a corruption free Chandigarh.

Gul ended her day with a meeting with the Chandigarh Industrial Association and a yatra in Khuda Lahora.
