Bansal incompetent: Gul Panag

“Pawan Kumar Bansal is a product of a system that spends crores of rupees to ensure a candidate’s victory and then works towards getting it back. Bansal is either complacent or incompetent,” remarked Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Gul Panag as she went ahead with her campaigning here on Saturday.

Kicking off her campaign with slogan ‘Gul 4 change’, Panag met morning walkers at Sector 36, following which she visited Sabzi Mandi and Bapu Dham in Sector 26.

Panag said: “Giving ticket to Bansal shows the Congress’ belligerence towards the anti-corruption campaign and defiance to the people’s mood. Even the closest aides of Bansal went into a rebellion mode due to his tainted image.”

“For ensuring proper development in the city, all stakeholders need to be consulted,” she said.

Taking a dig at the political parties, Bollywood actress-cum-social activist, Panag said the parties also needed to come under the ambit of the Right to Information Act.

Later, Panag visited Krishangarh, where she undertook door-to-door canvassing. While in evening, she went to Shivalik Walking Park and Subhash Nagar in Manimajra.

‘Admn not granting permission to hold campaigning events’
Panag aides claimed that the UT administration was not granting them permission to hold campaigning events.

“Although the facility of a single-window service is promised, AAP workers attempting to obtain permission have been made to run around for the last three days, with no permission granted yet,” they said.

Unless this changes very soon, there will be no option but to interpret this as a deliberate effort to obstruct the campaign efforts of the Aam Aadmi Party and its anti-corruption agenda.

Jahan canvasses at Dhanas
Chandigarh: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate and councillor Jannat Jahan undertook door-to-door campaign at Dhanas on Saturday.

Jannat said the people were fed up with the Congress and needed a change.

She appealed to people to vote for the BSP for a better future and development.
